Rotor Blade Balancer Review

A crucial factor with any well flying R/C helicopter is balanced main rotor blades. Unbalanced rotor blades will result in a poor flying helicopter with unwanted vibration during flight, especially in high rotor head speed helicopters. I came across this excellent main rotor balancer for small R/C helicopters. The main shaft of the balancer runs on four small ball bears which makes it very sensitive to detect the slightest imbalance in rotor blades. The frame is made out of carbon fiber with three aluminum support beams.

This balancer is very easy to use. Simply attach the rotor blades to the balancer, and secure them in place with the securing screws. Take note which blade is the heaviest, and apply balancing tape to the opposing blade. When the blades are level, you know that they are perfectly balanced and ready to be used on your helicopter. You can also use this balancer to balance tail rotor blades of larger R/C helicopters.

Features

• Diameter : 78mm x 45mm x 72mm
• Weight: 50g
• Can be used to balance the rotor blades of the Walkera 22E (255mm), Walkera 35,36,37,59,60,and 68

Conclusion

Never fly R/C helicopters with unbalanced rotor blades. Get yourself a proper balancer. Your helicopters will fly smooth and be a pleasure to fly. Happy Flying...
